I was recently contacted by a company called Simply Earth with the opportunity to review some of their essential oils. If you’ve been following me, you know that I have begun to delve more deeply into the benefits of essential oils, so I was happy to be indulged with a selection of oils. The following are my own experiences and should not be taken as medical advice.

They wrapped the individual essential oils very well in layers of bubble wrap and sealed them with a logo sticker, so there was no breakage. I did have one bottle where the seal must not have been on as tightly, because the entire package was scented very strongly of lemongrass and that bottle was a bit low. The upside is that our mailbox hasn’t smelled that fresh in years. 😉

An update from Simply Earth: They are getting new caps and a capping machine, so the cap issues shouldn’t be a problem going forward. 🙂

I have primarily been using the oils for aromatherapy. My choice to get the Tea Tree and Lavender proved to be very helpful when the whole family was struck down by a nasty round of the flu just before these arrived on our doorstep. Tea Tree oil is great for treating coughs, cold, bronchitis and other respiratory problems. Lavender is great for relieving stress, headaches, and a huge list of other ailments. The two together not only smelled wonderful, but helped relieve our symptoms and allowed us all to rest much more easily. We also occasionally used the Myrrh for its expectorant properties, but I honestly wasn’t a big fan of the scent. The citrusy scents of the Grapefruit and Lemongrass were both wonderful for lifting moods and giving me the energy and focus to clean up the house after we were all feeling better. Both of these essential oils can be used as effective antidepressants, and we definitely saw that effect.

Speaking of cleaning, essential oils can be beneficial here too. Tea Tree and Lemongrass oils are both antibacterial. Tea Tree can be useful in treating molds and mildew. Lavender is also a great addition to homemade cleaning detergents. They smell so much better than traditional cleaners… adding natural scents that belong in your home and can give aromatherapy benefits instead of chemical scents that can make you ill.

This was just a peek at what Simply Earth and the array of essential oils offer you. I urge you to explore many of the other essential oils. Each has unique and useful properties and I am sure you would find many to suit your own unique needs. They can also be blended together for additional benefits and natural fragrancing. I am just beginning to scratch the surface of their potential myself, but my experience so far has only urged me to move forward. Next is to better understand how I can use essential oils topically. The reasonable cost of Simply Earth’s oils makes that exploration much easier on the budget!

It is also definitely worth mentioning that 13% of the profit from your Simply Earth purchase helps end human trafficking. So, not only do you make your own life better, but you better the life of others!

Pros: Quality, effective oils. Lovely aromas. Amazing price point and reasonable shipping. Portion of profits got to changing lives.

Cons: One oil leaked. One dropper cap didn’t work properly.

I received this at a discount in exchange for my opinion. As someone who relies on honest reviews to make purchases, I work hard to provide other consumers with a thorough, truthful, and unbiased opinion of my personal experiences.
